Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24 1977) is an American producer and actress. She is known for her role in films that have feminist themes, she has received various accolades which include an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 influential people worldwide in 2012. Chastain started acting from a young age. In 1998, she made her debut on stage in the role of Shakespeare's Juliet. After completing her acting studies at the Juilliard School, she was accepted into a talent-holding deal with the producer of television John Wells. She was a regular guest star on several television series and played roles in many stage productions. Her film debut came in Jolene (2008) when she was the age of 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough through six film projects, which included The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011) as well as The Tree of Life (2012). For her roles as an aspirant socialite and CIA analyst, she won Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012). Commercial success was greater with the science fiction films Interstellar (2014) and The Martian (2015), and the dark film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain was recognized for her portrayal of strong-willed women such as in the dramas Most Violent Years (2014), Miss Sloane (2016) and Molly's Game (2017). She was also a part of the TV miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (1921). In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She received the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain founded Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She has a strong voice on mental issues and the issue of gender and racial equity. She is married to fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo and is a close friend of Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo
