Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for the role she wanted in Starship Troopers. It was very difficult for her to transition from modeling to acting since the models were never thought of as actors and were mostly granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy was determined to keep trying. She climbed the ladder into bigger roles, beginning in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. After a while Amy made the jump into more leading roles. She starred in the 2005 love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for her work in the last decade. Amy continued to appear in some of the biggest film productions, such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
