Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress in Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster for Best Supporting Actress for playing the enthusiastic and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's lead part in The Piano. The character as Flora McGrath - the daughter to the Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was a part she won at an audition open to all. In her twenties the actress had no experience acting. When she was a teenager, she moved to the United States. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. She also played the lead part in Fly Away Home, a movie from the year. Paquin was a part-time actress in the TV film of 1997 adaptation of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
