Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist is an author. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news website has a TV personality author, author and philanthropist. She emigrated out of Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. At 21 she became president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student who was elected to this position. Her success as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. With the introduction of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online voice-portal that provided an honest assessment of the current political situation. The fame of her name helped to get a number of prominent contributors to publish their thoughts about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 as she stood for California's recall election, to succeed Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. Forbes listed her 12th in its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their list of the top 100 in 2010. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division that also includes the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. She was very close with her father. But it was the relationship she had with her mother which has shaped her. She displayed leadership qualities even in her early years. When she was 16, she moved from America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the first woman to be elected president. In 1972, she earned a Masters in Economics. The career of a journalist and television host was born after graduation. She also appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editorial assistance.
